Geography: Maps of Islands

In Year 2 for Spring 1, we are exploring 'Islands'.

To start our unit, we decided to draw a map of what we think an island might look like. We also labelled the human and natural features of an island.

The next day we read 'Katie Morag and the Two Grandmothers'. It is a fantastic book set on an island in Scotland. We used the book to help us more features that we did not think of at first.
