In Year 1 we are learning about a famous person from the past. The famous person we are learning about is Florence Nightingale. We decided to pretend that we were nurses like Florence helping soldiers. We had a go at putting on bandages. We were all great nurses. "After reading the Gingerbread Man and visiting the bakery, we decided to make our own Gingerbread person" "Look at our pictures; what are we doing?" "Afterwards, we put our Gingerbread in the oven. Stay tuned to see how they turned out!" "In Science we have been learning about our body and our senses" "We went on a trip to the Science Museum" "We went inside the Pattern Pod. We used our senses to create patterns!" " Which of our senses can you name?" "This week we went for a walk to Rinkoff's Bakery" "We wanted to learn more about baking because we are reading The Gingerbread Man" "We got to make Challah bread and hot dog rolls!"
