Admissions Procedure

Welcome to William Davis School. If you are interested in applying for a place in Nursery or Reception or you are hoping to move your child from another school, please ring the school office on 020 7739 1511. We will arrange for the headteacher to call you. We would like to tell you about William Davis School, our curriculum offer and our values; we would like to tell you what we think is special about William Davis School.

Admission to Nursery 2024​

Children will usually start nursery in the September following their third birthday. It is possible for eligible children to access a funded nursery place from the beginning of the term after their third birthday.

Both part-time (15 hours per week) and full-time (30 hours per week) places are available at Tower Hamlets nurseries.

If your child was born between 1 September 2020 and 31 August 2021 and you wish to apply for a nursery place for September 2024, you must complete an online application by 16 February 2024 through the 
E-admissions website

Admission to Reception (primary school) 2024​

Pupils usually start primary school in the September following their fourth birthday. If your child was born between 1 September 2019 and 31 August 2020 this will be from September 2024.

You must complete an online application by 15 January 2024 through the E-admissions website.

You must make an online application for a reception place, even if your child is already attending the school's nursery.

In-year admissions

In-year admissions take place outside the normal admission period – for example, children who have recently moved to the area and do not have a school place.

Applications for in-year transfers and admissions must be made through the Tower Hamlets Parent Portal.
