This week in Year 1, we have started to look at writing instructions in English. Before we started writing however, we decided that it would be good for us to first make a tasty lettuce and cheese sandwich. 

Firstly, we put our instructions in order. Then, after sorting them, we began to make our sandwich. We had to be very careful to follow the instructions because if we didn't the sandwich might not turn out the way we wanted them!

​Next week we will be write our own set of instructions on how to make a lettuce and cheese sandwich!

Last week in Year 1, we went on a trip to the local church, St. Matthew's!

We went to the church as we recently looked at what is inside a church in RE. We got to speak to Erin, who is the priest at the church and had the chance to look around. We found things such as the altar, font and lots of candles!

We also thought about who goes to church and why they go.
