'Year 5 were revisiting the science topic of 'materials.' We were carrying out an investigation to test the 'solubility' of substances  - how well a solute dissolves in a solvent. We had to make predictions, think about how to make our investigation 'fair' and evaluate the results. We were also learning lots of new science vocabulary.'
