Year 3 have been learning about how to calculate change. This week we set up our own shops and took it in turns to be shopkeepers and customers. Children were tasked with the challenge to calculate change correctly. Children also explored different ways of paying the exact amount. 

Year 3 will be writing their own newspaper articles so in preparation for this they spent some time analysing newspapers. ​Year 3 visited the ‘London before London’ gallery at the Museum Of London. Children saw lots of artefacts from the Stone and Bronze Ages. During the visit children sketched their choice of artefact in their books and labelled or made notes about them.
