Year 5 are learning about the use of word play in poetry. Coinciding with National Poetry Week, the children demonstrated fantastic team work writing their poems and practising performing their poems with expression to captivate their audience. In art, Year 5 were learning about the Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser. The children used a viewfinder to select areas of his paintings and enlarge and transfer these onto their own artwork. They focussed on the strong naturally flowing lines that feature in Hundertwasser's work. |
