We had visits from Rolls Royce engineers who work with engines in aeroplanes. We were able to hold part of an engine. The engineers also helped us construct out stage models. We went to All Hallows church where we all took part in a play set during the Anglo Saxon period. We had to help the characters in the play solve problems they were encountering. We also wrote our name in Anglo Saxon runes using quill and ink and also saw the remains of Anglo Saxon buildings. We had a visit from an author called Gareth P Jones who talked about his books and what inspired him to write. He also sang songs about his books!  We had to thread a needle correctly and then we learnt different stitches such as- backstitch, cross-stitch and the chain stitch. |
