​Nursery class were very fortunate today to receive a visit from the author and illustrator Ellie Sandall. She introduced and read her story "Balancing Bertie" to us. 

Nursery were introduced to all of author Ellie Sandall's stuffed dogs today.

​We learnt all their names and about how they inspired her to write her book 'Balancing Bertie'.

We then played a game - how many dogs can you balance? 15 was the most!

​Author and illustrator Ellie Sandall lead a drawing workshop in Nursery class today. Children were given an outline of a dog to colour in and decorated before we created a 'balancing' Bertie collage on the floor. Look how many dogs he can balance on his nose!
