This term the children have taken part in the nation wide sporting event - 'The Mini Marathon' Using our daily mile track on the playground each child completed 2.6 miles over a couple of sessions during the last week of half term. Well done William Davis! We have been learning about making healthy choice for snacks, children have made a video on how to make a fruit salad. This half term our topic is 'Healthy me'. We have been reading 'Handa's surprise'. The children have enjoyed reading and acting out the story. We read the story ‘The Colour of Us’. In this story the main character ‘Lena’ finds beautiful ways to describe skin tones. The children in Early Years painted self-portraits and have chosen words that best describe their skin tone. |
