- use a wide vocabulary
- use talk to develop our ideas with a partner or group
- use talk to solve problems and be creative
- be an excellent listener
- talk confidently and clearly in a range of situations and to different audiences
- be polite and respectful and listen and respond to all adults and children
- know how to use our body to communicate well (eye contact, facial expressions and gesture)
- be good at explaining how we are feeling
- be good at resolving problems with other children using the Restorative questions
