Computing
Our computing curriculum teaches children computer science, information technology and digital English. It teaches them how to code, and how to create their own programs; not just how to work a computer, but how a computer works and how to make it work for you.
The school’s up-to-date hardware and software support the curriculum and staff have received training to ensure that the children are supported and are able to access the technology. We have 90 Chromebooks as well as 12 tablets. A dedicated media area for image storage and video production is available within the ICT suite and each classroom has interactive whiteboards, including the music room and SEN support room.
As well as the computing curriculum we are committed to eSafety which we are delivering within every computing unit and also within our PHSE scheme.
