Update School Closure 11th January 2021
Dear Parents and Carers,
Due to the government announcements made on Monday 4th January, we will be closed for most children until at least the end of this half term (February 12th) when the government will review the situation. We are busy planning our remote learning for all children and provision for Nursery children, children of Critical Workers (CW) and Vulnerable Children ( VC).
We are now open for Nursery children, Vulnerable Children + children of Critical Workers.
Attendance must be confirmed with the office and Annika or Charlotte in advance to ensure we have staff in place. Provision is subject to adequate staff being available to manage the on site provision.
Critical Workers
We need to keep numbers of children on site down to a minimum to ensure that we adhere to the government intent- to reduce cases of Covid in Tower Hamlets. If you think you are entitled to a place for your child/children please check using this website link: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-maintaining-educational-provision/guidance-for-schools-colleges-and-local-authorities-on-maintaining-educational-provision#critical-workers
We expect parents to manage the care and supervision at home if there are other adults who can provide the care.
Vulnerable Children
We have contacted all parents of identified Vulnerable Children and offered a place.
If you are aware of a child who may be at risk of harm please contact Annika or Charlotte on the school phone number.
Nursery Children
All parents of Nursery children have been contacted and reminded that the Nursery provision is open again.
Action:
Please let us know by the admin email or school phone if you need Critical Worker provision- you will need to inform us of your work so that we can check it matches the government guidance.
Please let us know by the admin email or school phone if you want your Nursery child to attend our Nursery provision.
Remote learning
We have started remote learning for all other children. Parents and teachers will work together to support the children; please contact us if you have questions. We will monitor children's engagement and call if children have not registered or completed tasks to a high standard. Small groups of children will be invited on site weekly to help engage them with the tasks and to answer their questions. Chromebooks and paper learning have now been distributed. The next set of paper work will be ready for collection by parents on Friday 15th January. We will text a time when we know everything is ready.
Best wishes
Annika
