​Welcome from the Headteacher

William Davis is a small and inclusive family school, situated in Shoreditch. Our school has high aspirations whilst maintaining a caring, family-orientated culture. As the headteacher, I pride myself on knowing each and every child well. I believe that active engagement with parents and our community are essential ingredients in the success of our pupils. Our staff team are committed to the pursuit of best practice in teaching and learning; we believe that this can be achieved if the quality of relationships is excellent.

Our rich curriculum is centred around two key drivers: communication and experiential learning. We expect our staff to be reflective, energised and excited as they teach, in order to develop children’s passion for learning. Our academic outcomes are excellent - this year William Davis ranked in the top 3% of schools nationally for children’s progress.  We teach children to be creative, to think critically and to take on the challenges of secondary school.
