In Year 1 we have just started learning about materials. Here we are trying to guess what the material is without looking! To kick off ‘World Book Day’ week, Year 1 did a ‘Draw with Rob’ session. Rob Biddulph is an author and illustrator and we drew a character from one of his books. We then decided that we’d give our characters a new name, and we’ll use them in writing next week! In Year 1, to celebrate finishing the book ‘Look up!’, we created our own meteor shower. In Year 1 we’re trying super hard to improve our handwriting. Here we are practicing our capital letters using rice. This week in Year 1, we enjoyed taking part in STEM Week. Here we are competing a Lego Challenge. We had to collaborate with our partners to create a building with the resources we had. |
