Learning at WD
Our William Davis curriculum aims to:
- Widen children’s KNOWLEDGE of the WORLD. We want our children to see themselves as local, national and international citizens.
- Increase children’s VOCABULARY. Words empower children to make sense of the world around them. A wide vocabulary helps children put their emotions into words, socialise with people, imagine and wonder.
- Develop their CURIOSITY and PASSION FOR LEARNING. These are characteristics of engaged learners.
- Enhance CRITICAL thinking skills. Successful learners compare, analyse, sift, sort and ask perceptive questions.
Our school values underpin all that we do at William Davis. We use them explicitly, especially when we reflect on our learning. |
