Year 6 visited Billingsgate to take part in a Fish to Food Course awarded at the Tower Hamlets Healthy Lives event.
A fishmonger introduced the variety of fish species available and demonstrated how fish is prepared ready for cooking. We were able to identify the different parts of a fish.
We got a chance to remove the bones and skin.
We learnt how to remove a prawns head and had a go at it for the first time!
We prepared a selection of recipes and understood the benefits of eating seafood. We were amazed by the ease and speed of cooking fish.
