Year 2 began their double practical art session today after researching the artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo before the Christmas break.
They watched a short tutorial to show them how to create a portrait in the style of Arcimboldo before generating their 'Steps To Success' as a class. They then used mirrors to look at their facial features before selecting fruit and veg photos to cut out and arrange on a black background to resemble their own faces. As you can see, the children got 'very' busy creating their portraits whilst also practising their cutting and collage skills. Watch this space for their finished portraits later this week!
