Mission
To develop and nurture all children to be happy, safe, confident and resilient with a passion for learning.

Rationale
We believe
  • in quality educational experiences 
  • in the importance of high quality relationships in order to deliver best practice teaching and learning
  • in setting high expectations for all children
  • that a teacher is a teacher for all children
  • that education is about the whole child not just about academic success
  • that engaged and excited teachers will create engaged and excited learners
  • that parents are partners
  • that all children can go on to do great things if they are given the right, inspiring experiences
  • that children should be taught to be effective communicators at is an essential skill for life

Communication Vision
To be a successful communicator we need to:

  • use topic and subject words and phrases
  • speak in full sentences
  • use a wide vocabulary
  • use talk to develop our ideas with a partner or group
  • use talk to solve problems and be creative
  • be an excellent listener
  • talk confidently and clearly in a range of situations and to different audiences
  • be polite and respectful and listen and respond to all adults and children
  • know how to use our body to communicate well (eye contact, facial expressions and gesture)
  • be good at explaining how we are feeling
  • ​be good at resolving problems with other children using the Restorative questions
